2011 Season - Week 14
Relegation Battle Heats Up
Aaron followed up his 58 point week with just 8 and it looks like his break for safety may be over. With just 3 weeks left he is 35 points under the drop line. But at one point on Sunday the four players above him were separated by one point with Marcus in the dropzone. All four were in the final relegation spot at one point during the weekend. Marcus and H have had back-to-back good weeks with 32 & 34 and 40 & 25 points respectively while Mark’s good week (32 points) means Wayne has fallen into the dropzone, 5 behind Mark, 11 behind H and 17 behind Marcus.
Scoring Hall of Fame
After last weeks 59 points, Chief scored 61 his highest ever weekly total. His latest Hall of Fame week is his 11th overall which equals Wayne for the most ever and ties Andy H’s 2007 record 7 visits to the marbled halls in a single season. There is a key similarity to H’s 2007 squad which will be discussed in next weeks newsletter.
NFL Playoffs
Congratulations to Houston. After 10 seasons in the NFL the Texans are in the play-offs for the first time after winning the AFC South. In the NFC New Orleans have qualified for the post-season after Chicago lost to Denver in Tebow Time.
Coaching Cuts Begin
After Jacksonville fired Jack Del Rio a fortnight ago two more AFC coaches bit the dust on Monday, with Miami firing Tony Sparano and Kansas City sacking Todd Haley just 11 months after he took the Chiefs to the AFC West title.
